The car waiting to be let into the garage on day one.
This was the early scene at the front of the house just prior to returning the hire trailer.
"The morning after the night before," and the long awaited arrival "The Phoenix has landed"
At long last, the chance came to boot the Rust Bucket MGB out onto the driveway and make room for "Phoenix" to take her rightful place.
I had to sweep up the remnants of the sills and some of the wings from the garage floor before rolling the Minor onto the hallowed ground.
The MG's out on the street-well nearly- and what's more important "Phoenix" inside the garage where the transformation will take place (with a little help from my Forum friends)

Here we see in all its "awful gory" my Sons '75 BGT.
We bought him the car as a Birthday present for his 21st, he's had it 8 years, ran it without a hitch until structural failure reared its ugly head at MOT time.
It's in need of major bodywork-which is planned after Phoenix is out of the Bodywork stage.
The car is standard, other than a Gold seal replacement engine, all the running gear is excellent and will not take must resurecting (been well prepared for standing) Boy Blunder has picked up one or two tips.
He must have been paying attention for the 16 years I ran this one

A Standard factory BGT V8 I owned for 16 years, showed it in many Nationals over that time- Show boards still in the boot.
Sold it when the family out grew it ( I totally blame Boy Blunder for that- he should have stayed a dwarf ) He's suffered for it ever since.
GD2D1 1289 G --You have got to be a real nutter to know what that's all about ( apolls to Blaketon)
Here last seen in the car showroom (a sad day for you know who)

And a Standard '80 "Pewter" BGT L.E. that Boy Blunder cut his teeth on for 3 years before the present '75 BGT
