PROJECT ASSESSMENT.
Once the car was in my garage at home ,I had to assess exactly what was required. I had to list all items to be removed for refurbishing and that were still missing or left stored in the Boot.
Due to me having the initial mobility problem caused on the first nights manoeuvring the car from the trailor, I found I had quite a bit more time on my hands than I had planned.
For the next few months, I photographed and noted all that I could. I had to plan to photograph all that I could reach, without bending or getting underneath.
The next month of "rest" allowed me to get restricted access to some other parts, but not full access.
It eventually transpired that this enforced rest ,was well over 6 months , which also included nearly 8 weeks Family holiday breaks, so it could have been worse.I could have been laid up for the whole of the winter and missed a good chance to make a decent headway early.
All of this happened before I was able to get my hands dirty.
It was a very frustrating time, having to wait whilst all the problems sorted themselves out, but it did allow me research and planning time.
