Preparing to remove the engine and gearbox as one unit, a final check was made inside to see if we had not forgotten anything
That done then one final check in and around the engine bay, told us we were good to go.
As it was, I wanted to rebuild our home made engine hoist to help us lift out , but ever the "lets get it out " character-my Son- that was not to be.
With only the assitance of a few bits of dodgy rope attached, he proceeded to lift it out in one go !

I had to say, That maximum marks were not earned, on the clean and jerk action.
He did not point his ears at the right time and it touched the floor a smidgen before it finally came to rest on a very expensive -hand crafted engine bearer.

There was a bit of drag around that back end so "the Old Man" had to assist slightly with a strategically placed scaffolding pole-it was out in the light of day
With the engine out, it was then I noticed I had not moved the "Drain-down" oil receptical, prior to it being knocked over with the( tail end charlie )gearbox extension
Here we are all ready to roll around to the shed for a well earned rest, before it can then be attended too after the bodywork is finished
