D-Day was on 09-03-2010. This was the day that the car was due to depart from Daves and be delivered to its new home.
The long awaited day arrived, and I was very ably assisted by my Son Andrew, the other motor-nut in the family.
We made an early start and collected a pre booked trailer for the day. It only took a few hours to drive down to Northhamptonshire to collect the car, with the weather being very pleasant for a February day.
Here we are with the hired trailor and borrowed tow car-mine was still awaiting tow bar fitting,- so my good friend Bill came to my assistance in my hour of need.
We met Dave (what a nice man- what a very very nice man- he turned out to be) we were well greeted and after some lovely hospitality and a few sneaky pictures, we headed back north-bound with "Phoenix" well and truly secured to the trailer.
Here we go-we have lift off- The Phoenix is off the ground.
